Voucher Program

You will receive a voucher in the mail that will assign you a participating local veternary clinic. You will call the clinic to make an appointment.

The clinic will go over before and after care instructions. Confirm with them what time you need to drop off by.

Help trapping feral cats or driving pets to the vet clinic is available if needed (mainly for the elderly and disabled). We can loan you traps or carriers.

Day before

Unless under 4 months old, usually instructed to fast cats and dogs after midnight. Must bring cats in carriers (humane traps for feral cats) and dogs in carriers or on a leash. Let us know if you need to borrow one.

Surgery day

Drop off 7:30-8:30am & pick up 4:30-5:30pm (or as instructed). Give the clinic the best phone number to reach you at during the day. Usually may feed a small amount of canned food later that evening.

After care

Stray/feral cats can usually be released later the same day (males) or the next morning (females). Keep pets calm for a week after surgery. Call the vet clinic if see any complications like redness or bleeding.
